Senior Consultant - Senior Business Solution Analyst

£700-£800p/d Inside IR35

Remote in UK.

emagine is a high-end professional services consultancy and solutions firm Specialising in providing business and technology services to the financial services sector, we power progress, solve challenges and deliver real results through tailored high-end consulting services and solutions.

We have created a culture of openness and integrity by building genuine and strong relationships and partnerships, enabling us to be uncompromising in our dedication in delivering the optimal service for our clients.

Our commitment is not just towards our clients but we aim to foster a positive and equitable working environment with our consultants and colleagues which stems from our core values: Confident, Dedicated, Responsible, Genuine.

We are seeking a Senior Business Solution Analyst with strong data competency and large-scale KYC transformation delivery experience. This role will focus on driving the successful delivery of complex data initiatives within a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. The ideal consultant will have deep data knowledge and domain content strength-including data modelling, big data architectures, and strong stakeholder management skills. We are looking for someone technically conversant who can effectively bridge business, compliance, and technical discussions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Challenge data solutions and shape delivery from within-working deeply at the data level, not just overseeing from above. You'll engage hands-on with data out workstreams, transformation logic, and technical delivery detail.

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of KYC and data-centric initiatives, ensuring that data models, architecture, and flows align with regulatory and operational goals.

  • Act as a data authority within the team-owning the content, working alongside developers, architects, and analysts to define data models, apply data integration patterns, and guide transformation from one model or structure to another.

  • Bring your background as a data modeller/developer into delivery-leveraging your technical roots to bring credible, effective leadership across delivery and solution design.

  • Define and oversee KYC-specific data governance strategies, customer data schemas, metadata lineage, and integration with source systems aligned to CDD/EDD and regulatory standards.

  • Manage cross-functional teams including KYC ops, compliance, business, and technical teams-ensuring data remains the central driver of alignment and progress.

  • Drive the adoption and integration of technologies supporting KYC delivery-such as data lake architecture, ETL pipelines, screening tools, and onboarding platforms-with a strong grasp of their data handling capabilities.

  • Ensure compliance with AML, CTF, GDPR, and privacy regulations from a data lineage and governance standpoint.

  • Translate complex data architectures and KYC processes into clear insights, delivering structured content and guiding executive-level decisions with confidence and clarity.

  • Present and articulate data solutions to exec audiences, shaping and influencing transformation decisions based on strong content, not generic delivery models.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Strong KYC domain expertise, with a focus on customer data structures, onboarding journeys, and end-to-end regulatory data flows.

  • Hands-on background in data management, ideally having started as a developer or data modeller, with experience building data models, mapping integration patterns, and transforming data between models and platforms.

  • Demonstrated success in leading large-scale data transformations in financial services, with a focus on KYC and regulatory compliance-preferably within a global bank.

  • Proven delivery track record on complex, data-intensive KYC workstreams, including data out initiatives, ensuring delivery is grounded in content, not just process.

  • Deep understanding of data architecture, ETL frameworks, and big data platforms; able to engage at technical detail level to validate, challenge, and shape solutions.

  • Proficient in data modelling (logical and physical), normalization principles, metadata management, and designing for scalability across large datasets.

  • Experienced in managing multiple concurrent data-focused workstreams, with the ability to move between technical deep dives and high-level executive presentations.

  • Adept at applying data governance frameworks, aligning customer and regulatory data with CDD/EDD, AML, and GDPR requirements.

  • Comfortable presenting complex data architectures and regulatory data models to executive stakeholders, influencing decisions through deep content knowledge.
