Workshop Supervisor / Mechanic

Forklift Truck Depot Limited is looking for a hands-on and organised Workshop Supervisor / Mechanic to lead our busy workshop team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer or technician ready to step into a supervisory role or an existing workshop lead looking for a new challenge.

Carry out diagnostics, repairs, and servicing on diesel, LPG, and electric forklifts

Supervise a small team of workshop engineers and apprentices

Schedule and delegate workloads effectively to meet deadlines

Ensure compliance with health & safety, LOLER, and quality standards

Complete accurate service reports and maintain records

Assist with workshop organisation, stock control, and parts ordering

What were looking for

Proven experience as a forklift/mechanical engineer or plant fitter

Strong technical knowledge of materials handling equipment

Leadership or supervisory experience (or ready to step up)

LOLER experience or certification (advantageous)

Excellent problem-solving and time-management skills

Full UK driving licence
