Job Description

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Workshop Operative.

The role involves the manufacturing of hydraulic hose assemblies and other safety critical railway equipment.

It is important that you have a high attention to detail and produce the product to the requested and desired finish.

Based in Chesterfield, this is a temporary to permanent role.

Duties

Carry out the planned workload
To learn and develop all aspects of skills required on production
Assemble customer orders with accuracy and attention to detail
Work proactively as a member of the production team
Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the workshop to ensure all staff continue to work in a safe and pleasant environment
To always observe safe working practices
Health and Safety adherence

What we are looking for

Work to agreed standards in line with company policies and procedures.
Have a flexible attitude to working arrangements.
Some previous assembly/manufacturing/engineering experience is an advantage. However, a positive and willing approach to learn new skills is more important.
To undertake training as required. This may include attending training courses outside your place of work.
