WORKSHOP MANAGER

Salary: £55,000

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm

Location: Dagenham

Our client is seeking an experienced Workshop Controller or Workshop Manager or Workshop Foreman with a background as a HGV Technician in the Dagenham area.

Responsibilities of a Workshop Manager

• Supervising and motivating our team of HGV Technicians and proactively reviewing daily workload to seek opportunities that will help drive performance.
• Maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction by implementing quality checks, resolving any issues, and reassuring customers by providing all necessary information and advice.
• Supervising the daily time keeping of technicians and managing authorised absence to ensure a consistent level of attendance.
• Maintaining relationships with vehicle manufacturers and providing technical information for Technicians during repair operations.
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations and ensuring high standards of housekeeping and security are achieved and maintained within the workshop and surrounding areas.

Skills and Qualifications of a Workshop Manager

• Prior experience in a similar role.
• HGV Technician experience.
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and manage a workshop.
• Well developed management and leadership skills.
• A working knowledge of automotive technology, warranty systems and the brand would be beneficial.
• Class 1 licence would be advantageous.
