Workshop Fitter

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading business in the plant hire and equipment rental sector for an experiencedWorkshop Fitter to join their team inBristol.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled mechanical engineer or fitter who enjoys maintaining and repairing heavy plant and construction equipment in a busy workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, and repair a range of plant and construction equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults efficiently.
• Carry out routine inspections, servicing, and preventative maintenance.
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
• Maintain accurate service and repair records.
• Adhere to all health and safety procedures.
• Support colleagues and contribute to the smooth running of the workshop.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as a Workshop Fitter, Plant Fitter, HGV Technician, Agricultural Engineer, or similar.
• Strong mechanical knowledge, with experience working on plant or heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems is desirable.
• Ability to diagnose faults and work independently.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.
• A proactive attitude and strong problem-solving skills.
