Job Description
Our client, a well-established franchise-approved car dealership in Cardiff, is seeking a highly skilled Workshop Controller to join their dynamic Service Department. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Workshop Controller to lead a busy workshop and further their career within a reputable dealership group.

- Monday to Friday working hours (8.00am - 5.00pm), with 1 in 3 Saturday mornings paid at 1.5x
- Lead and manage the workshop team of 7 Vehicle Technicians and 2/3 Apprentices to ensure high standards of service
- Plan and allocate work efficiently, maximising productivity and profitability
- Monitor individual and workshop performance to meet key performance indicators
- Foster effective communication between technicians, service reception, and customers regarding vehicle status
- Ensure workshop compliance with health and safety regulations and brand standards
- Identify training and development needs within the team to support ongoing improvement
- Maintain exceptional workshop standards, ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance with brand service requirements
- Proven track record of successfully managing a busy automotive workshop for at least three years, ideally within a franchise approved dealership
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Results-driven with excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
- IT literate with a good understanding of workshop management systems
- Full UK driving licence with minimal points
- Reside in or within a reasonable commute of Cardiff
