Works Manager - London - £40k to £50k pa depending on experience

First class opportunity to join one of London's fastest growing print firms. The successful candidate will take full control of all manufacturing from pre press to bindery. The ideal candidate will have come up the shop floor route rather than office based production, be commercially minded, and have a good understanding or, better still, a qualification in lean manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Effectively manage the performance and conduct of all shop floor employees, meeting and improving on production targets.
• Motivate the team to drive production, quality and output.
• Challenge poor performance, reduce work in progress, customer rejections and waste.
• Implement ways of improving productivity, quality and efficiencies.

Qualifications

• Experience in a sheet fed litho background.
• Proven ability to work in a fast turnaround, high pace environment.
• Commercial mindset and knowledge of lean manufacturing practices.
