Job Description

We are looking for a Workforce Planning & Rota Analyst to join our team, supporting the Resource Planning Manager within Imaging Operations. This role plays a vital part in ensuring our workforce is effectively planned, resourced, and aligned to operational and financial priorities. You will act as a key link between HR, Operations, and Finance, helping to ensure we deliver efficient, high quality services for our patients.

As a Workforce Planning & Rota Analyst, you will support the delivery of accurate workforce data, effective rota management, and meaningful workforce insights. You will be responsible for contributing to operational efficiency, supporting financial oversight, and helping drive improvements in utilisation and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate workforce data including staffing levels, availability, skills, and utilisation.
  • Produce regular and ad hoc workforce reports to support operational, financial, and HR decision making.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with organisational standards.
  • Work collaboratively with Operations, HR, and Finance to align workforce planning with recruitment needs, budgets, and service delivery requirements.
  • Support monitoring of workforce costs such as overtime, agency usage, and staffing variances.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance cost efficiency through improved rota planning.
  • Assist with short term and medium term workforce planning activities.
  • Identify trends in workforce demand and staffing that may impact service delivery.
  • Contribute to operational improvements, standardised rota processes, and productivity driven initiatives.

This role would suit someone who is highly analytical, detail focused, and confident working with data to support decision making. You will be collaborative, well organised, and comfortable managing information in a fast paced operational environment.

Essential Skills & Experience
  • Experience in a data focused role.
  • Strong numerical and analytical ability with excellent attention to detail.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, data handling and dashboard/reporting capability.
  • Ability to organise and manage information accurately.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.
Desirable
  • Experience or understanding of workforce planning.
  • Background in healthcare operations or administration.
  • Familiarity with reporting tools or workforce management systems.
