Job Description
We are currently looking for a Workday trainer to support our client with a rollout and adoption of Workday. Working closely with the Training Lead, the role will be responsible for coordinating training activities, developing and updating learning materials, delivering instructor-led sessions, and providing post-go-live support to end users.
Key Responsibilities Training Planning & Coordination
- Support the planning, scheduling, and execution of Workday training activities across a range of stakeholder groups.
- Coordinate training logistics, including session management, attendee communications, and attendance tracking.
- Ensure learning programmes are delivered in line with project timelines and readiness plans.
- Maintain training records and reporting to support overall programme governance.
- Update and align existing training documentation with established project branding, templates, and quality standards.
- Adapt and enhance eLearning content to ensure consistency, usability, and engagement.
- Create and maintain user guides, quick-reference materials, training presentations, and supporting resources.
- Ensure learning content reflects approved business processes and system functionality.
- Deliver engaging instructor-led training sessions to a variety of audiences, including HR teams, managers, and designated business champions.
- Facilitate both virtual and in-person workshops as required.
- Develop and present training materials using agreed templates and formats.
- Clearly explain business processes and system functionality to maximise user understanding and adoption.
- Prepare training environments and sample data to support realistic demonstrations.
- Deliver end-to-end walkthroughs covering key Workday business processes and transactions.
- Support demonstrations across core functional areas such as:
- Recruitment
- Core Human Capital Management (HCM)
- Absence Management
- Ensure all demonstrations accurately reflect configured system processes and approved operating procedures.
- Provide ongoing support during go-live and early-life adoption phases.
- Facilitate drop-in clinics, refresher sessions, and targeted learning interventions.
- Respond to user queries and identify areas where additional training or guidance may be required.
- Work with project stakeholders to monitor adoption and address capability gaps during stabilisation.
- Proven experience delivering training as part of a Workday implementation or transformation programme.
- Experience creating and adapting training materials, including guides, presentations, and eLearning content.
- Ability to confidently demonstrate Workday functionality and business processes.
- Strong organisational and coordination skills, with experience managing multiple training activities simultaneously.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
