Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00

We are looking for a Woodwork Operative to join our clients busy workshop producing high quality products. The successful candidate will be responsible for cutting, sanding, laminating and finishing products to a high standard, working as part of a small team to meet production schedules and quality targets.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately cut timber and panel materials to specified dimensions using hand and power tools.
• Sand components to achieve smooth, consistent surfaces and prepare items for finishing.
• Apply laminates and veneers with precision, ensuring correct adhesion and alignment.
• Carry out finishing processes including staining, sealing, painting or varnishing as required.
• Inspect finished items for quality and conformity to drawings and specifications.
• Maintain and clean machinery, tools and work areas; perform routine checks and report faults.
• Follow health and safety procedures and contribute to a safe working environment.
• Complete basic production paperwork and assist with packaging and dispatch when needed.

Requirements

• An interest in carpentry and previous experience in a similar role would be preferred but not essential.
• Please note that due to the location of the client own transport is essential.
