We are looking for

A Windows Dev/Ops Engineer focusing on Automation and Security, who will be the central link between Solution Engineer/Architecture teams and the Delivery (Operations) Teams for automating orderable and secure Infrastructure.

About the role

As a Windows Dev/Ops Engineer, you are responsible for being an essential part of one of the biggest corporate infrastructures in the Netherlands. You are the central link between Solution Engineer/Architecture teams and the Delivery (Operations) Teams for automating orderable and secure Infrastructure. The job is part of the Global Windows Engineering team which is situated in Utrecht and London. Your primary responsibility will be to design and build automated solutions within the team and to provide proposed architectural changes to the Windows Operating System to meet the demands of our customers.

You will:

• Design and build automated solutions.
• Provide proposed architectural changes to the Windows Operating System.
• Engineer automated OS delivery.
• Develop solutions.
• Automate security challenges.
• Problem solve OS related tasks.
• Deliver product enhancements using innovation.
• Provide 3rd line support to fix incidents or problems.
• Create code to deliver Infrastructure as Code.
• Address Security & Compliance.
• Gather requests for changes in services.
• Participate in projects by giving advice (during the design phase) and implementing.
• Make an active contribution to the self-organizing team.

Who are you?

• Thorough understanding of the Microsoft Windows Operating System.
• Multiple years of experience in a large sized (5000+ server) complex infrastructure environment.
• Experience with Ansible, preferable Ansible Automation Platform or Tower.
• Experience with Security tooling preferably CyberArk.
• Strong PowerShell Scripting.
• Knowledge and experience with scrum/agile working.
• Experience with GIT, Automated testing.
• Experience with cloud management solutions - vRealize, Azure products, CI/CD.
• Continuous Configuration Automation and Desired State Configuration.
• Active Directory.
• Design, engineer and create implementation strategies for Windows products.
• Produce design and operational documentation to a high standard.
• Actively use new technology to enable innovation, integration and cost reduction.
• Third-line support for Windows products and services.
• Knowledge of ITIL and Agile Scrum.
