Windows Client/Modern Workplace Systems Engineer (German Speaking)

We are currently looking on behalf of one of our important clients for a Windows Client/Modern Workplace Systems Engineer (German Speaking). This role is permanent position based in Zürich Canton & comes with good home office allowance.

Your Role:

• Hold responsibility for planning, further development, engineering & operations in the area of client infrastructure, with a focus on Modern Workplace & Microsoft Intune.
• Act as a key contact person for external packaging resources as well as for coordination & quality assurance in the area of software packaging.
• Hold joint responsibility for client life cycle, compliance with software standards & integration in relation to the area of Windows-based IoT systems.
• Carry out tasks in relation to Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), hold responsibility for the operation & further development Citrix environments & provision & manage of Windows 365 Cloud PCs. Additionally ensure a smooth user experience, ensure integration into existing system landscapes & support the performance & security optimization of virtual workplaces.
• Provide 3rd level support for complex problems in the client environment & assist in 2nd level support when necessary in the event of overload.
• Take over on-call duty at the 3rd level support level every 6 to 8 weeks.

Your Skills:

• At least 5 years of professional experience in Windows Systems Engineering including at least 2 years in the areas of Microsoft Intune, Modern Workplace & Client Engineering.
• Skilled & experienced in Intune/SCCM, IAM & Azure Entra ID, M365 & MS Teams.
• Skilled in Software Packaging including hands-on experience with Patch My PC, PowerShell App Deployment Toolkit (PSADT), Intune-Win32 & traditional packaging approaches.
• Ideally experienced in Windows IoT Systems.

Your Profile:

• Completed University Degree in the area of Computer Science or similar.
• Self-motivated, conceptual & team-oriented.
• Fluent in English & very good German language skills (to at least B2 Level) are mandatory requirements.
