Role Description

We are seeking a dedicated Wills and Probate Solicitor/Executive to join our client's dynamic team at their Sidcup office. The successful candidate will manage a busy caseload of wills, probate, and estate administration matters from initial instructions through to completion. This is a full-time position, ideal for someone who thrives in a legal environment and is passionate about providing exceptional service in wills and probate law.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of wills, probate, and estate administration matters from initial instructions through to completion with minimal supervision.
  • Handle all aspects of will drafting, probate applications, and estate administration.
  • Advise clients on inheritance tax planning and trust formation.
  • Take instructions from clients and provide appropriate advice.
  • Obtain and prepare file documentation.
  • Bill files and secure payments from clients and other parties.
  • Maintain and update legal knowledge and skills.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 4 years PQE
  • Extensive experience in managing wills, probate, and estate administration matters.
  • Ability to deal with technical details and present solutions to complex legal issues concisely and customer-friendly.
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Ability to present and argue a case both orally and in writing.
  • High accuracy in work according to team requirements.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and work on own initiative.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Good keyboard skills.
  • Sound technical knowledge of wills, probate, and estate administration.
  • Proficiency in Windows, Word, and Excel.
  • Knowledge of the Solicitors Code of Conduct.

  • Excellent written and spoken English for producing documents and resolving enquiries.
