Wildland Fire Equipment Operator - Heavy Machinery

The North Carolina Forest Service is seeking a Forest Fire Equipment Operator to maintain and operate heavy equipment used in wildland fire suppression, prescribed burning, and forestation. The role requires CDL and the ability to respond to emergencies and work extended hours as needed.

Residency and travel may be required; pre-employment drug testing and medical certification are mandatory. Uniforms are provided and the position is based at Craven County Headquarters, NC.
