Job Description
As a Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator at Clayton Manor Care Home, you will design and implement a range of physical, psychological and social activities that support residents' well being, respect their privacy, dignity, independence and personal choice. You will listen to residents and families to understand their life history and preferences, develop detailed activity plans, and coordinate events, outings and staff participation.
Responsibilities- Identify the life history, needs and preferences of residents by listening to them and their families, and support the development of a detailed life story.
- Plan and submit to the Home Manager a monthly activity and wellbeing plan and a weekly overview.
- Arrange activities, events and outings, encouraging involvement of staff, relatives and visitors.
- Maintain a safe living and working environment and contribute to a positive professional image of the home.
- Previous experience working with older people in a residential nursing/dementia setting.
- Experience organising activities and events.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Positive attitude towards older people and commitment to providing stimulating, quality activities and social events.
- Ability to live ADBS values of caring, support, honesty, respect and accountability.
- Requires an ADBS disclosure check (cost covered by Avery Healthcare) and proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
