Wellbeing and Activities Assistant - Bank

Package description: Shift details: 9 am - 5:30 pm. You will support the Wellbeing Coordinator in providing a wide range of activities that engage and stimulate the residents' physical, cognitive, and social well being.

Job Responsibilities
  • Support the Wellbeing Coordinator by providing a range of activities that stimulate residents' physical, cognitive, and social well being.
  • Maintain a safe living and working environment, and contribute to the home's positive and professional image.
  • Report any changes in residents' physical or emotional condition to the Wellbeing and Activity Coordinator, Home Manager, and care staff.
  • Order and prepare supplies for upcoming activities as directed.
  • Establish links with local community groups (e.g., schools, spiritual groups, museums/libraries) to encourage community access and promote intergenerational activity.
Qualifications
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Understanding of how role interaction contributes to the general well being of people.
  • Positive attitude toward older people and commitment to providing stimulating, quality activities and social events.
  • Previous experience working with older people in a residential nursing dementia setting.
Requirements
  • DBS Disclosure check, cost paid by Avery Healthcare.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
