Job Description

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Acting as a key person to ensure young people feel safe, supported, and happy in their living environment
  • Supporting residents with budgeting, cooking, cleaning, and managing appointments
  • Helping residents maintain their tenancy and understand their rights and responsibilities
  • Providing emotional support and encouragement to build confidence and resilience
  • Assisting in crisis situations and making on-the-spot decisions
  • Facilitating access to education, employment, health services, and other community resources
  • Maintaining accurate records and contributing to care/support plans
  • Working flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and nights as required
  • Participating in training and development opportunities

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience or willingness to work with vulnerable young people, including those with complex needs such as mental health issues or a history of homelessness
