Welfare Rights Officer

Responsibilities

• Work within the Welfare Rights Team supporting vulnerable individuals to access benefits.
• Advocate for those who cannot advocate for themselves.
• Collaborate with groups and organizations to increase awareness and understanding of welfare rights.
• Provide guidance and support to individuals in need of welfare assistance.

Requirements

• Passion for social change and helping vulnerable individuals.
• Challenge - willingness to challenge existing processes and advocate for entitlements.
• Empathy and resilience to work with vulnerable individuals and understand the mental health impact of poverty.
• Valid driving license and own vehicle for travel across Lancashire.
