Job Description
Job Title: Welder

Location: Dublin 12, Co. Dublin

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Welder to join our client, a long-established Irish signage company with over 50years of industry experience.

Our client specialises in large-scale corporate and retail signage solutions and is seeking a skilled Welder to join their workshop team, focusing on the welding and fabrication of signage components and support structures.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Carry out MIG and TIG welding of aluminium, mild steel, and stainless steel components and support structures.
  • Fabricate sign trays, frames, brackets, posts, and totem structures from drawings and specifications.
  • Mark out, measure, cut, drill, and prepare materials for welding.
  • Jig, clamp, and tack assemblies to ensure they are square, accurate, and within tolerance.
  • Set up and adjust welding equipment based on material, thickness, and joint type.
  • Grind, linish, and dress welds to a clean finish ready for painting or powder coating.
  • Work from technical drawings, job sheets, and specifications and check finished work to required tolerances.
  • Operate workshop machinery including guillotines, press brakes, bandsaws, and plasma cutters as required.
  • Maintain welding equipment and keep the workshop, tools, and machinery clean and safe.
  • Work closely with the production team to meet quality and delivery deadlines.
Main Requirements:
  • Proven experience in welding and metal fabrication within a production or workshop environment.
  • Strong MIG and TIG welding skills across aluminium, mild steel, and stainless steel.
  • Ability to work from technical drawings and specifications and mark out and set up work independently.
  • Experience producing clean, high-quality welds to tight tolerances.
  • Recognised welding qualification or coded welding certification would be advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in the quality of finished work.
  • Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
