Weighbridge & Grain Lab Operator - Harvest Support

GW Topham & Son are seeking a further individual to help maintain the smooth and effective running of the weighbridge during the busy harvest season. The successful candidate will help maintain the smooth and effective running of the weighbridge during the busy harvest season and testing of the grain being moved.

Standard hours will be 7am to 4pm Monday to Friday. During harvest there will be the possibility of longer working days, potentially a 7 day working week. This will be dictated and determined by workload and weather conditions during the harvest period.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Weighing of vehicles across two weighbridges.
• Swift and precise grain analysis utilising a variety of methods and equipment.
• Accurate recording of data onto Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
• Distribution of information to relevant parties via appropriate communication tools.

Skills and Qualifications

• Confident communicator, both verbal and written.
• Ability to clearly organise workload and prioritise tasks.
• Computer literate and familiarity with Excel spreadsheets.

Person Specification / Experience

• Highly motivated.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Excellent timekeeping.
• Previous harvest experience preferable.
