About the Role

As a Housekeeping Assistant at Barchester care home, you will help create a warm and homely environment that enables us to meet each resident's unique needs. Your role involves ensuring the home is clean, safe, and welcoming; you will carry out a variety of housekeeping and cleaning tasks that directly support residents, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the care home.
  • Perform daily cleaning tasks (vacuuming, dusting, mopping).
  • Change linen and manage laundry for residents.
  • Adhere to health and safety procedures to keep the environment safe for all.
  • Assist with the preparation of rooms and common areas for visits.
  • Report maintenance issues and coordinate with relevant teams.
