Job Description

We have the following vacancy available in E16.

Start: ASAP

Salary: £6,156.80 per annum
Hourly rate: £14.80
Hours: 8 hours per week
Work pattern: Saturdays and Sundays - 8am to 12pm or 9am to 1pm
Benefits: 12 days - Works on BH - Not work on Christmas

Double pay on BH

1.5 rate on overtimes when requested

Uniform provided

Job Summary
  • To deliver a combination of cleaning and caretaker (estate operative) duties across designated communal and social areas of the development.
  • To ensure all areas are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness, safety, and presentation at all times.
  • To support waste management processes and the general upkeep of the estate.
Responsibilities & Duties
  • To maintain all designated communal areas to a high standard of cleanliness, as directed by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Property Manager.
  • Duties include, but are not limited to:
    • Cleaning and polishing entrance doors and floors
    • Emptying, cleaning, and replacing waste bins as required
    • Vacuuming and mopping designated social floors
    • Thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting all sanitary ware and fittings in communal toilets
    • Cleaning lifts, communal stairways, corridors, passageways, reception, gym, meeting rooms, and social spaces
    • Dusting light fittings, handrails, pictures, and paintwork
    • Cleaning internal ledges, covings, doors, skirting boards, and balustrades
  • To carry out bin management duties:
    • Check and rotate bins in the basement at the start and end of each shift
    • Ensure an empty bin is always positioned below the chute
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of bin storage areas
  • To support general estate duties including:
    • Litter picking in designated areas
    • Maintaining high presentation standards across all communal and external areas
  • To report any defects, damage, maintenance issues, or security concerns to the Housekeeping Supervisor, Concierge, or Property Manager
  • To report any defective lighting or equipment promptly
  • To comply with all Health & Safety procedures, including the correct use of cleaning materials in line with COSHH regulations
  • To undertake any additional duties as reasonably requested by management
Conditions of Work
  • Only cleaning materials supplied by the Company must be used, in accordance with Health & Safety and COSHH guidelines
General
  • To remain flexible and undertake additional duties as required by the Housekeeping Supervisor, Concierge, or Property Manager
  • To report all health and safety concerns immediately
  • To maintain a tidy personal appearance and wear the provided uniform and ID badge at all times

Qualifications / Experience
