Job Description

Love the waterways and helping others? Join us as a Waterside Leader to host guided walks in vibrant Southall. This role is perfect for those passionate about community, health, and leadership.

What You'll Do:
  • Lead friendly, well-organized walks, helping participants stay active and healthy.
  • Check and familiarize yourself with walking routes.
  • Welcome walkers, manage groups, and ensure walks are safe and enjoyable.
  • Provide information about other activities and how to stay active.

As a Waterside Leader we need your support to help facilitate a wonderful experience to those looking to enjoy and improve our network by leading a number of activities. We have Walk Leader, Mental Health First Aider, Paddle Instructor and other opportunities to offer you in this role. Your support with this role helps us connect to more people and inspire them to help keep canals alive.

What you will be doing
  • Leading events such as guided walks or paddlesport activities
  • Working within team running an event or a series of events
  • Engaging visitors and support with our wonderful waterways through different activities
  • Learning new skills
  • When you register as a volunteer, we will ask you about any unspent convictions which you need to declare and risk assess these as needs be.
