Water Treatment Supervisor - Reading

Overview

Our client is a well established water treatment company known for their expertise in all aspects of water treatment service provision. They are currently looking for an experienced and ambitious Water Treatment Supervisor to join their team working on a variety of contracts in and around the Reading area. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working within the water treatment/legionella industry, undertaking a wide range of water treatment/hygiene service duties. Consideration will be given to applications from Aylesbury, Oxford, Luton, London, and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications & Experience

• Strong chemical, technical and water hygiene/water treatment background.
• Experience of working in a supervisory role within the water treatment/water hygiene industry.
• City & Guilds or WMS qualification beneficial.
• Good working knowledge of water treatment industry and legislations.
• Competent in using the Microsoft Office Package.
• Excellent communication skills.

Duties of the Role

• Organisation of equipment required for works to be carried out.
• Planning of work schedules.
• Attending sites to establish works required.
• Tank and main water system cleaning, disinfection, descaling, changing and replacing tanks, remedial work, flushing systems, etc.
• Monitoring client's air and water systems to ensure compliance with current Health and Safety legislation.
• Cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold-water systems and cooling towers.
• Temperature monitoring, conducting routine sampling and analysing water systems.
• Install and maintain dosing systems.
• Training of site staff where required.
• Maintaining a professional working relationship with clients.

Overall, the ideal candidate will be well versed in undertaking hands on water treatment/hygiene duties and will have the ambition to move into a progressive management role.
