Job Description

Job Title: Water Hygiene / Treatment Engineer
Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire
Salary/Benefits: £26k - £35k + Training & Benefits

Due to continued growth, a multi-disciplined compliance / environmental outfit is recruiting for an experienced Water Hygiene / Treatment Engineer. You will be conducting a wide range of duties, including cleans and disinfections, TMV servicing and sampling from closed systems. Our client is able to provide excellent further training into plumbing and legionella risk assessing for the successful candidate. Ideally, you will have good access to the M1 for easier travel throughout the region. Salaries on offer are competitive and benefits include: overtime, use of a fleet vehicle, pension scheme, company phone and annual leave allowance.

Experience / Qualifications
  • Experience working as a Water Hygiene Engineer
  • Worked within a well-established company
  • Advantageous to have experience with legionella risk assessments and hold the City and Guilds (WMSoc) in Legionella Risk Assessing
  • Robust industry knowledge, including ACOP L8 and HSG 274 guidelines
  • Flexible to travel in line with company needs
  • Good literacy and numeracy skill level
  • Comfortable using IT software

  • CWST inspections, cleans and disinfections
  • TMV servicing and failsafe checks
  • Flushing on little used outlets
  • Cleans and disinfections on cooling towers
  • Closed system sampling
  • Water sampling
  • Temperature monitoring
  • Updating logbooks and keeping records of works undertaken
