Waste Collection Operatives

Location: Just outside Norwich
Hours: 06:00-16:00
Working Pattern: 4-5 days per week, mainly Tuesday-Friday, with Saturdays when required
Training: Full training provided
Driving Licence: Desirable but not essential

The Role

Straight Forward Recruitment Ltd are currently recruiting Waste Collection Operatives on behalf of our client, based just outside Norwich.

This is a hands-on and physically active position working as part of a team to collect domestic waste from local properties, including general waste, recycling and garden waste.

You'll be working to a strict daily schedule, so reliability, teamwork and a good work ethic are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collecting domestic general waste, recycling and garden waste.

  • Loading and unloading waste bins throughout the working day.

  • Working as part of a team to complete daily collection routes.

  • Carrying out regular manual handling and lifting duties.

  • Working efficiently to meet daily schedules and collection targets.

  • Following all Health & Safety procedures.

  • Maintaining a professional approach when working in the community.

  • Supporting other members of the team to ensure collections are completed efficiently.

About You

  • Are comfortable with physically demanding work.

  • Are happy working outdoors in all weather conditions.

  • Can carry out regular lifting and manual handling.

  • Work well as part of a team.

  • Can follow instructions and work to a schedule.

  • Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

  • Are reliable and punctual.

A full driving licence is desirable but not essential.

Full Training Provided

Previous experience is not essential as full training will be provided. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a hands-on role where they can gain experience and become part of an established team.

Rate of Pay

£12.71 per Hour
