Warehouse Team Leader 
Full Time Permanent • Derbyshire, United Kingdom
Responsibilities- Provide a safe working environment, adhering to Health, Safety and Quality related procedures.
- Ensure orders are processed efficiently and delivery meets customer time scales/requirements.
- Plan, coordinate and monitor the receipt, storage and dispatch of goods.
- Supervise and proactively control order picking, goods in, goods out operations to ensure accuracy with minimum handling and stock damage.
- Organise, facilitate and manage stock takes at regular intervals.
- Identify errors and eliminate root causes using robust countermeasures and corrective actions.
- Monitor and maintain stock accuracy by ensuring physical stock matches the warehouse management system.
- Complete and maintain all daily and weekly reports and logs for the warehouse.
- Ensure all workflow procedures and processes are followed by direct reports.
- Coach, train and guide direct reports to deliver high levels of quality service to customers.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, mitigating any health and safety risks.
- Takes responsibility and ownership in problem resolution.
- Responsibility for overall productivity within the designated team.
- Actively support operational change while minimising disruption to production and service.
- Suitable experience as a supervisor or team leader in an operational service delivery role; preferably from the pharmaceutical industry or supply chain background.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team, utilising appropriate interpersonal styles.
- Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure / cost of poor quality.
- Able to achieve results by setting high standards and committing to clear objectives.
- Ability to build and develop successful long term relationships with customers, direct reports, other teams and departments.
- Strong people management skills, with the ability to focus and guide others in accomplishing work objectives.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills and able to establish logical practical solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Previous experience with ERP, WMS and TMS systems.
- Understanding of Goods Distribution Practices (GDP).
- Understanding of Goods Warehouse Practices (GWP).
- Communication skills.
- Highly driven and motivated.
- Organised with attention to detail.
- Team player.
- Ability to multitask effectively.
You will assist in managing the inventory transfer, systems migration, and operational readiness activities, including the physical move of stock, equipment and key assets while maintaining service continuity.
