Warehouse Team Lead

Magellan Aviation are seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Team Lead to oversee the day-to-day operation of our warehouse logistics activities. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on warehouse professional with leadership experience to play a key role in supporting the movement of aircraft parts within a fast-paced aviation environment.

In this role, you will lead shipping and receiving operations, ensure compliance with aviation industry standards, and support a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities Shipping & Logistics

• Coordinate and supervise daily outbound shipments to ensure on-time customer deliveries.
• Review shipping documentation and ensure compliance with aviation and export requirements.
• Oversee packaging and labelling of aircraft parts to industry standards.
• Liaise with freight forwarders and logistics providers to optimise delivery performance and cost.
• Manage and prioritise urgent Aircraft on Ground (AOG) shipments.

Receiving & Inventory Control

• Oversee the receipt and verification of incoming goods against purchase orders and supporting documentation.
• Ensure parts are inspected, accurately recorded, and stored appropriately.
• Manage non-conforming materials and quarantine processes.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and full traceability of aviation components.
• Support inventory counts and stock audits.

Leadership & Team Management

• Supervise and support warehouse personnel across shipping and receiving functions.
• Allocate daily workloads and monitor team performance.
• Deliver training on warehouse procedures, compliance requirements, and safety standards.
• Foster a positive, accountable, and high-performing team environment.
• Responsible for our continued cross training initiative and identifying training and development needs for the team.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• 3-5+ years' experience in warehouse, logistics, or shipping operations.
• Previous supervisory or team lead experience.
• Strong knowledge of shipping processes, inventory control, and warehouse best practices.
• Experience working with ERP
• A valid forklift licence.
• Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Desirable

• Experience within the aviation, aerospace, or regulated logistics sector.
• Familiarity with aviation documentation such as EASA Form 1 and FAA 8130-3.
• Knowledge of customs procedures and export compliance requirements.
