Warehouse Operative / Packer + FLT - Dalkeith
Location: DalkeithContract Type: Temporary to PermanentPay Rate: £13.41 per hour (all hours)Hours: Rotating Treble Shifts
- Morning shifts - 06:00am - 2:00pm (Mon-Thu), 06:00am - 12:30pm (Fri)
- Back Shift - 2:00pm - 10:00pm (Mon-Thu), 12:30pm - 5:30pm (Fri)
- Night Shift -10:00pm - 6:00am (Sun-Fri AM)
Important
To be considered for this role, you must hold a valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (FLT) with at least 1 year of experience.
About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative / Packer + FLT to join a busy warehouse team in Dalkeith. This is a hands-on role where accuracy, teamwork, and a strong focus on safety are key. The position offers a great opportunity to secure a permanent role following a successful temporary period.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate counterbalance forklifts and complete daily safety checks
- Pack and prepare finished products ready for dispatch
- Record stock accurately using computer systems
- Palletise, wrap, and load goods for shipment
- Pick and prepare orders for delivery
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and hygiene
- Support other warehouse functions when required
- Contribute to improvements in productivity, quality, and efficiency
What We're Looking For:
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (minimum 1 year's experience)
- Experience using computer systems for stock entry
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Strong awareness of health, safety, and hygiene
