We have a temporary role available within DS Smith's Paper Mill. The successful applicant will be a good communicator who is proactive, reliable, and thrives in a production environment.

Rate

• £12.72 per hour days
• £13.91 per hour nights
• £16.00 per hour on the clamp

Shift Patterns (62 hours)

• 2 weeks of days, Mon Fri 5.30am 17.30pm
• 2 weeks of nights, Mon Fri 17.30pm 5.30am
• 1 week of days, Mon Thurs (Fri off) 5.30am 17.30pm
• Start: ASAP (within 1 2 weeks)

Responsibilities

• Manually load and unload goods
• Scan items
• Ensure all materials are secured
• Manage the movement of vehicles in the bay and communicate with drivers
• Verify incoming and outgoing shipments and update inventory records
• Follow appropriate procedures as trained at all times
• Adhere to a high level of UK Health and Safety at all times
• Maintain a high standard of housekeeping within the department

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience within a production, machine operation or industrial environment
• Ability to perform physically demanding, manual work for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail
• Good knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation
• A proactive approach to tasks and the ability to work on one's own initiative
• Approachable individual who can also work as part of a team
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
