Overview

Warehouse Manager - Birkenhead
Salary: Up to £42,000 per annum (DOE)
Hours: Monday - Thursday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Friday, 8:00 AM - 12:30 PM (38.5 hours per week)

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a rapidly expanding manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Manager to join a busy site, lead a small team, and drive operational improvements.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a highly efficient Warehouse operation, including Goods In/Out and 3rd party movements
  • Train, coach, and develop a small team
  • Implement digital processes for goods movements, fully integrated with SAGE
  • Oversee potential relocation of the warehouse to larger facilities
  • Introduce innovative ways of working to improve efficiency across the warehouse operation
  • Develop and maintain SOPs
  • Work collaboratively with Stock Control and Continuous Improvement teams
  • Manage inventory using FIFO and stock rotation principles
  • Oversee and participate in monthly and annual stock counts
  • Manage yard operations effectively
  • Allocate resources to meet short and long-term requirements
  • Monitor performance against KPIs and carry out bi-annual reviews with training plans
  • Ensure health and safety standards are maintained in partnership with the H&S Manager
  • Ensure appropriate stock availability for production lines
Qualifications & Skills
  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager in a fast-paced environment
  • Track record of digitalising warehouse systems
  • Experience in warehouse relocation and redesign
  • Strong people management and team development skills
  • Valid FLT licence (FLT Instructor qualification desirable but not essential)
  • Confident in handling changing priorities and operational challenges
  • Proficient in SAGE for stock monitoring and control
  • Ability to challenge current processes and implement improvements to drive efficiency
