About the Job

Our warehouse operation plays an important part in the service we offer to our customers. The warehouse stocks all size variances in each product, which in some cases can be up to 90 different sizes, to ensure we can always offer our customers the best choice possible. Due to the large stock variances, we also operate a customer order transfer function through our warehouse which means we can offer our customers available stock from anywhere in the business.

As a Warehouse Department Manager, you will lead and inspire the team to continue to deliver the service that we're so passionate about. Whether that's ensuring that our stock is accounted for across the business to allow us to get it to customers as soon as possible, or ensuring every delivery is packaged and wrapped perfectly to create an amazing first impression, you will be a role model for our service.

Whilst service is very important to us, we are not KPI led. You will lead your team to deliver great standards every time based on what's right for our customers, which may not necessarily always be what is the most cost effective or time efficient solution for the operation. You should be naturally inquisitive with a passion for looking for new ways to improve existing systems and processes to continue to enhance the experience we deliver to our customers.

You will also work closely with a number of teams across the business including our CS and Shop Teams, so you should be a confident networker with a natural ability to build relationships. As with any operational role, there is a requirement for you to have flexibility when required to support other shifts and department.

About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Department Manager with the ability to lead a team. Proactive in nature you will be able to work independently and take accountability for the results of your team, with the ability to deputise for the Warehouse Manager if required. It is essential that you can inspire and motivate others to deliver the service our customers expect.

You will have experience of running departments and leading a large team (doesn't have to have been in a warehouse environment). With a solid understanding of health and safety, you will be able to ensure this is a priority for all staff at all times; maintaining a safe working environment and taking ownership of managing risks as they occur.

You will also have the ability to engage with your team and other teams across the business, ensuring day to day operations are organised and moving forward, using your management skills to empower your team to deliver great results.

We have ambitious plans for the future so you should enjoy getting stuck in, trying new things and working at pace.
