We're expanding our team at our Maidenhead Electrical Branch and are looking for a dependable Warehouse Operative to help us continue delivering excellent service to our trade and retail customers.

The Role

We are seeking a motivated Warehouse Worker / Van Driver to join our team at Maidenhead, Grant & Stone Electrical. As a Warehouse Assistant, you will play a crucial role in managing inventory, handling materials, and ensuring timely deliveries. Responsibilities

• Operate forklift equipment to move and store materials
• Utilise the Warehouse Management System to track inventory and orders
• Perform tasks, including heavy lifting to load and unload goods
• Handle procedures with care and attention to detail
• Conduct basic math calculations for inventory counts and order verification
• Assist in sending and receiving processes
• Collaborate with team members to efficiently load and unload

Driving Duties

• Deliver building materials to customers using a company van (3.5t or similar), ensuring safe and legal driving at all times.
• Plan efficient delivery routes in line with schedules provided.
• Ensure all goods are correctly loaded, secured, and signed for.
• Provide excellent customer service upon delivery, resolving minor queries where possible.
• Undertake various other driving jobs required in relation to the efficient operation of the business.
• Assist in the yard area with deliveries and assist customers where necessary.

Requirements

• Full UK Driving Licence
• Product Knowledge
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate at all levels
• Self motivated with a can do attitude
• Strong team player who works as part of a team and independently

Working Hours

Week:1 Monday to Friday 07:00 - 17:15
Week:2 Monday to Friday 07:00 - 17:15
Satuday 08:00 - 12:00
