ABOUT YOU

We are looking for a passionate and guest-focused Waiter/Waitress to become a valued member of our outstanding Straits Kitchen & Bar team at Pan Pacific London.

JOB SUMMARY

As a Waiter/Waitress in our Straits Kitchen Restaurant & Bar, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional, personalised experiences for every guest. You will be a true ambassador of Pan Pacific London, ensuring every interaction reflects our commitment to excellence. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Follow restaurants' standards, policies and procedures with other team members.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of:
    • All food items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available in the restaurant.
    • Every wine/champagne by the glass and major wines on the wine list.
    • Designated glassware and garnishes for drinks.
    • All menu items, preparation method/time, ingredients, sauces, portion sizes, garnishes, presentation and prices.
    • Daily menu specials and out-of-stock items.
    • Dining room layout, table/seat/station numbers, proper table set-ups, room capacity, hours of operation, price range and dress code.
    • Daily house count, arrivals/departures, and VIP reservations.
  • Be aware of in-house group activities, locations and times.
  • Confirm correct maintenance and use of equipment.
  • Follow all department policies/service procedures.
  • Assist in greeting and escorting guests to their tables according to departmental procedures when needed. Ensure that tables are set to best service the guests.
  • Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and at whatever time of day. Promote positive guest relations at all times.
  • Take and record restaurant reservations/cancellations by departmental standards, when no Host or superior is available to do it.
