Posted 3 hours 13 minutes ago by Active Herefordshire & Worcestershire
Access Sport is looking for a part time Volunteer Coordinator to support the development of inclusive volunteering pathways in grassroots football across Sheffield. This role is funded through a partnership with The FA, focused on increasing the number and diversity of volunteers within grassroots football, with a particular emphasis on disabled volunteers and those supporting the disability football pathway.
ResponsibilitiesThe post holder will work closely with community organisations, disability groups, grassroots clubs and FA partners to recruit, support and retain volunteers, helping clubs build sustainable and inclusive volunteering structures. Community sport provides many benefits for disabled and underserved young people, including improving physical and mental wellbeing, confidence, life skills and community connection. However, disabled people remain significantly less likely to be active than non disabled people, and many communities face barriers to participation. This role plays a key role in strengthening inclusive pathways into volunteering and football locally.
