Voluntary Position

Responsibilities

• Support staff in delivering a person centred, recovery focused drop in service open to anyone living with mental ill health.
• Provide a warm welcome and reassuring presence to attendees.
• Create an environment where people feel listened to, valued, and understood, facilitating meaningful peer support.
• Attend the drop in on the first Wednesday of every month (in person, local).
• Participate in all training and onboarding before beginning the role.

Qualifications and Experience

• Preferably have lived experience of mental ill health and are able to share and model their own recovery journey.
• Passionate, compassionate, authentic, and positive when supporting others.
• Not currently being supported by Penumbra or on the waiting list for our services.
