Volunteer - Driver- Charity Shop/ Fundraising

Nugent can collect any donations could be from multiple locations including parishes, businesses, individuals, head office and schools.

Volunteer Duties

• To drive a Nugent Van/ or own car in a safe and responsible manner and to provide a high standard of customer care and act in a responsible and courteous manner at all times.
• To collect smaller local donations in own car when required by charity shop/ Fundraising
• To provide assistance to Nugent Charity Shop with collections and deliveries of items which have been donated from the general public.
• To carry out vehicle pre checks and report any defects immediately to the Fundraising team. To complete all necessary paperwork, e.g. log sheets, fuel issue sheets, defect reports, ensuring that accurate records of all journeys undertaken are recorded.
• To immediately record and report details of any accident/untoward incident to the vehicle, passengers or third party (regardless of severity) and obtain contact details of any witnesses.
• To collect and record donor details
• To provide professional customer service

Suggested Time Commitment: We would recommend a time commitment of 2-3 hours per week but can be flexible with volunteering hours depending on volunteer's availability. The charity shop is open Monday to Saturday but looking for drivers throughout the week
