Volunteer - Cadet Scheme Leader (Banbury)

Banbury Cadet Unit is looking for volunteers to support our weekly cadet sessions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in running weekly cadet sessions at Banbury Police Station (typically 18:30 - 21:00).
• Plan and prepare session content.
• Support other leaders during the session.

Commitment

The role requires a commitment of 2-4 hours per week. Sessions are held during school term times, with occasional weekend or holiday activities.

Qualifications

• Enjoy working with teenagers aged 13-18.
• Able to bring fun and engagement to sessions.
• Available to volunteer during the designated times.

Vetting Process

As a volunteer within the police service you will be subject to a level of police vetting based on role access requirements. Procedures may include providing personal information and relevant references to comply with the Vetting Code of Practice. Vetting is generally completed within 30 working days, though delays can occur.

Closing Date

Applications and enquiries are accepted until 28 June 2026. The vacancy may be removed before the closing date once enough candidates have been sourced.
