VMware HCX Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled VMware HCX Consultant to design, implement, and support a hybrid cloud migration project using VMware HCX technology.

The consultant will work with clients to plan and execute data center and cloud migration strategies, ensuring secure, seamless workload mobility across on-premises and public cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, deployment, and configuration of VMware HCX environments for workload migration.
• Plan and execute VM migrations (vMotion, Bulk Migration, Replication Assisted vMotion) to cloud platforms.
• Configure Network Extension, WAN optimisation, and secure site pairing.
• Assess existing infrastructure and provide migration readiness reports and strategy.
• Provide technical documentation, knowledge transfer, and post-migration support.
• Troubleshoot and resolve HCX-related performance or connectivity issues.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Active SC Clearance
• Proven experience with VMware HCX design, configuration, and migration projects.
• Strong understanding of: VMware vSphere, vCenter, and NSX-T
• Networking (L2/L3, VPN, Firewalls, routing).
• Experience with cloud migration strategies and data centre consolidation.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• VMware certifications (VCP, VCAP, or HCX-specific certifications).
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Strong stakeholder management and client-facing skills.
