VMWare Consultant (Contract)

Our Global Enterprise client is seeking a VMware Principal Consultant with strong VMware Cloud Foundation 5 skills and experience.

Key Details:
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 118 days (initially)
Pay Rate: £532 p/d (Employer NI paid by the client)
Total Daily Earnings: £596 p/d (includes rolled up holiday)
IR35 Status: Inside
Location: Hybrid with some site travel

Note: Active SC Clearance is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

The candidate will lead in designing and deploying VMware solutions and develop customisations for customers' VCF deployments to maximise VCF9 features use, including upgrades to VCF9.

Technical Skills

• The candidate must prepare for the VCF9 release certification and hold the VCP-VCF certification.
• VMware specialisations are preferred, with vRealize Automation (Aria Automation) and vRealize Operations (Aria Operations) skills in demand.

Requirements

Essential:

• Azure Local Experience (24H2)
• Hyper-V and Hyper-V networking experience
• Software-defined networking experience
• Experience with Failover Clusters
• Experience with Storage Spaces Direct
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Experience leading solutions

Desirable:

• VMware VCF Experience
• VMware Aria Operations/Automation experience

Nice to Have:

• VMware Certifications (VCF 9)

Soft Skills

• A strong desire to share knowledge, peer review, and contribute to technical and process standards.
• Ability to work well within a team, report issues and risks, and participate in team meetings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with customers.
