Job SummaryThis is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team as a Visual Impairment Rehabilitation Officer (Unqualified). In this role, you will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team of Social Workers, Enablement Officers, and specialist Promoting Independence Workers. Together, we aim to empower individuals in Nottinghamshire to live independently and confidently at home. If you are enthusiastic, motivated, and ready to make a difference, this role is for you!
Role ResponsibilitiesAs a Visual Impairment Rehabilitation Officer, your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting specialist assessments to identify the rehabilitation needs of visually impaired and dual sensory impaired individuals.
- Collaborating with clients, their carers, and other professionals to develop tailored rehabilitation plans.
- Delivering high-quality rehabilitation services that promote independence and enhance quality of life.
- Supporting clients in developing essential skills for daily living.
- Being a reliable point of contact for clients and their families, ensuring their needs are met.
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
- A relevant qualification in health, social care, or a related field (or be willing to work towards one).
- Knowledge of visual impairment and its impact on daily living.
- Experience in assessment and support planning is desirable but not essential.
