My client based in Oldham is seeking a passionate veterinary surgeon to take the next step in their career. About the practiceThe practice is expanding rapidly and is housed in a spacious, well-equipped building with easy access to Manchester and on-site parking. Facilities include digital x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, an in-house lab, two theatres, a dedicated imaging room, and a large prep area. There are two separate isolation wards for dogs and cats with walk-in cages to support patient comfort and infection control.
Team and supportYou'll work with a committed Head Vet and a friendly team that includes two RVNs, two part-time Client Care Assistants, and one Veterinary Care Assistant. While occasional sole-charge days may occur to cover holidays or sickness, you'll have support from a nearby 24-hour hospital for complex cases and clinical backup.
Role detailsThis is a full-time role across four days a week, with a fair share of weekends on a rotating basis. It is ideally suited to someone with one to two years of UK experience who wants to build clinical confidence in a practice that values teamwork, growth, and high standards of care.

Responsibilities- Provide high-quality medical and surgical care for small animals in a busy practice.
- Work collaboratively with the Head Vet and team to maintain high standards of care.
- Manage a varied caseload with occasional sole-charge days for holidays or sickness.
- Utilise on-site equipment and facilities to support diagnosis, treatment, and patient recovery.
- Engage in continuous professional development and participate in internal CPD and Clinical Communities.
