"We are a diverse team and cater to different passions, with the space and facilities to really nurture our teams' talents." Karina (BVetMed MRCVS) Practice Owner, Vets for Pets Central Kidderminster
Are you a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Surgeon looking for an exciting new opportunity? We are seeking a skilled and passionate individual to join our friendly, supportive practice located in Kidderminster.
About us
Our talented, supportive and longstanding team have progressed within their own veterinary careers whilst at the practice. Both our head nurse and senior RVN started with us as locums before becoming permanent, whilst Gemma our Practice Manager first joined us 9 years ago as a VCA.
Practice Owner Karina is testament to the investment she puts into her teams' progression and development. Initially qualifying as a nursing assistant in 2006 before qualifying as a vet from the Royal Veterinary College in 2017.
Both Karina and Gemma are trained Mental Health First Aiders and along with the clinical team, are supported by a brilliant client care team as well as a 5 RVNs, 1 of which is our Nursing Clinical Lead, 1 SVN, a Pharmacy Assistant and 1 VCA.
We are an approved training practice, and our Practice Owner/Veterinary Surgeon, Karina, is a Vet GDP Advisor.
About the role
We have a great relationship with the in-store Pets at Home team and have an incredible client base with a varied and growing case load including small furries, exotics and dentistry.
We're a diverse team so depending on your own individual style, our consult times vary and breaks, and an hour lunch break are always included in the day. It's important to us that our team feels included so we also hold a regular catch up after morning consults, with time to share thoughts and ideas.
Full and part time hours will be considered with a minimum of 1:4 Saturdays (9am-12pm)
There is no OOH with this role, and we make sure that appointments finish half an hour before closing so that we have time to catch up and still get away on time!
About you
We're a flexible team and have the facilities to support your areas of interest so due to the nature of this role and the fantastic team you'll be joining, we welcome applications from vets of all levels of experience.
You will need to be RCVS registered, ideally with strong clinical skills and a surgical bias although we are also open to considering new graduates for our ever-growing practice.
Most of all we're looking for a team player, a people person and someone committed to delivering outstanding care and customer service.
The benefits
As well as an exceptional working environment, we're delighted to be able to offer
