Veterinary Surgeon - Lead Hospital Clinician
Posted 3 hours 3 minutes ago by VC Evidensia UK
Swift Referrals is a multidisciplinary small animal referral practice offering services in internal medicine, oncology, soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery. We also run a first opinion out of hours service for neighbouring practices. We are in Wetherby, West Yorkshire with easy access to York, Harrogate and Leeds as well as the beautiful and uncrowded Northeast coast, the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors.
Due to internal progression, a rare opportunity has become available for a Lead Hospital Clinician here at Swift referrals. This role is to support and work alongside our current team of day and night clinicians. Their role involves care of both ECC and referral inpatients, whilst also supporting referral clinicians with caseload in neurology, soft tissue surgery, orthopaedics and internal medicine.
Be part of an advanced team
The lead hospital clinician provides a support network for our hospital clinicians focusing on strong communication, team growth and development as well as smooth running of the hospital. The role would suit a candidate with sound clinical skills and a people focused drive.
A typical day would include supporting the wards nurse team in devising care plans for inpatients, supporting hospital clinicians with rota management and reviews and devising cpd and auditing opportunities to continuously push for greater standards
We have a large team of talented veterinary professionals including European diplomats, 1 certAVP medic and 2 surgical vets, 43 nurses, 14 ACA's and 13 client care team members. The Hospital includes state of the art diagnostic imaging including a 128 slice CT and a 1.5 Tesla MRI, a complete endoscopy suite, digital radiography, ultrasonography, a fully stocked laboratory and a large intensive care facility with 24/7 veterinary and nursing supervision. We strive for excellent customer service and clinical standards, as well as providing a friendly, collaborative working environment with a great team ethos.
