Veterinary Surgeon Position in Sheffield
The RoleJoin a close-knit, dedicated team that thrives on collaboration and excellence. This bustling first opinion hospital provides its own 24-hour emergency care, allowing for a comprehensive approach to veterinary medicine. The team includes seven experienced Veterinary Surgeons, nine Nurses, four Receptionists, placement nurses, and a supportive office team. Additionally, the hospital benefits from the expertise of peripatetic orthopaedic surgeons and a cardiologist.
The full-time equivalent (FTE) working week averages 36-37.5 hours, with day shifts ranging from 8 to 9.5 hours, including a paid half-hour lunch break. The role also involves participation in an on-call rota, covering both weekdays and weekends, with the flexibility to work from home supported by an on-site nurse. Part-time positions, including on-call rota participation, are also available.
The Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care within a 24-hour first opinion small animal RCVS accredited hospital. A UK driving license is required for this role.
Benefits- This position offers a competitive salary ranging from £37,500 to £60,000 FTE, depending on experience.
