Veterinary Surgeon - Essex
Independent & expanding - Modern, recently refurbished practice with RCVS Tier 2, ISFM & RWAF accreditation. Beautiful coastal location - 5 minutes from the beach in Clacton-on-Sea, with great links to Colchester, Ipswich & London. Supportive, experienced and well-established team - 13 vets, 13 RVNs and a friendly wider team in a collaborative, caring environment, including senior colleagues with decades of experience in the practice.
The building itself has been recently refurbished and extended, providing a bright, modern space designed for staff and patients. Facilities include a fully equipped operating theatre, video endoscopy, x-ray suite, a new ultrasound machine, dental x-ray, ECG and tonometer, with separate dog and cat wards, waiting areas and isolation facilities.
Work-life balance is taken seriously here. The role is based on a four-day week, with three 9am starts and one 8:30am start. You'll finish at 5:30pm or 7pm depending on the day, and Saturday mornings are 1 in 4, finishing at 12pm. There are no out-of-hours commitments, and part-time applications are welcome.
Role & Responsibilities- Role details: Salary up to £75,000 DOE; 4 day week; three 9am starts, one 8:30am start; two 5:30pm finishes, two 7pm finishes; 1 in 4 Saturday mornings, 8:30am - 12pm; no OOHs; open to part-time applications
- Provide gold-standard care for patients and work cases through from start to finish (or hand over seamlessly when needed)
- Join a wonderfully friendly and sociable team of vets, nurses and support staff in a collaborative, caring environment
- At least a year of UK clinical experience
- Good communication skills
- Kind, approachable and able to fit into a collaborative, caring team
- Salary up to £75,000 DOE
