A leading veterinary practice in County Durham, is seeking a confident small-animal vet to join their expanding team. This role offers a pathway to becoming a Senior Veterinary Surgeon, making it ideal for someone with some clinical experience.
Imagine working in a brand-new, purpose-built clinic accredited under the RCVS Practice Standards Scheme at General Practice level. The facilities are top-notch, featuring five consultation rooms, two operating theatres, separate cat and dog wards, a dedicated euthanasia and bereavement room, and a comprehensive in-house IDEXX laboratory. The clinic also boasts an extensive range of modern diagnostic and surgical equipment.
Located in County Durham, the area offers a high standard of living with affordable home ownership. Whether you prefer city life, countryside, or coastline, this region has it all. Plus, Newcastle, Durham, the Northumberland countryside, and the North East coast are all within easy reach.

Clinical collaboration is a cornerstone, facilitated through weekly vet meetings, a dedicated veterinary Slack channel, and a monthly journal club. This practice is committed to evidence-based veterinary medicine, making it a stimulating environment for professional growth.
The role involves a varied caseload, predominantly companion-animal work with occasional exotics if that interests you.
