An exciting opportunity has become available for a Veterinary Surgeon with at least 2 years' experience to join a busy and well-equipped small animal clinic based in Birkenhead, Merseyside.

7 consultation roomsTwo fully equipped operating theatresDigital X-ray suiteDedicated dog and cat wardsCat-friendly clinic accreditationAdvanced diagnostic and surgical equipment
The clinic sees a broad and varied caseload, including both routine and complex cases, ranging from orthopaedic conditions to challenging medical cases. The facilities also support the development of advanced services such as cardiac imaging and diagnostics.
The Team
You will join a collaborative and supportive veterinary team where every team member plays an important role in delivering high-quality patient care.

The Role
This position would suit a Veterinary Surgeon with at least two years' clinical experience who enjoys working in a busy practice environment with a varied caseload.
The role offers opportunities to:
Manage a diverse caseload of medical and surgical casesDeliver high-quality consultations and treatment plansPerform routine surgical proceduresWork closely with the wider veterinary and nursing teamContinue developing clinical skills and professional interests
Veterinary surgeons are supported in developing areas of special interest and advanced clinical skills where desired.
Working Pattern
38 hours per week4-day working week2 in 9 Saturday rota
This structured rota allows for a balanced workload and sustainable working pattern.
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will:
Hold a BVSc or equivalent veterinary degree recognised in the UKBe RCVS registered (or eligible to register)Have at least 2 years of experience in small animal practiceBe confident with consultations and routine surgeryDemonstrate strong communication and teamwork skillsShow enthusiasm for clinical development and learning
Salary & Benefits
