About the Role

As a Preparation Technician, you will play a key role in preparing our used vehicles for sale by handling paint preparation and performing smart repairs. Your commitment to quality and safety will help us maintain the high standards our customers expect.

What we're looking for

We're looking for an experienced professional with the following qualities:

At least 2-3 years of experience in a bodyshop or smart repair role .
Skilled in prepping and repairing small to medium jobs (e.g., bumper corners) to a high standard.
Open to learning new techniques and taking on challenges.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
Energetic, enthusiastic, and solution-focused.
Organised, methodical, and trustworthy.
Effective communicator and active listener.
Comfortable taking responsibility and working independently.
Clean Full UK driving license required.
City and Guilds/ NVQ L3 Qualification

Key Responsibilities

Perform small to medium-scale prep and smart repair work to manufacturer-level standards.
Collaborate with team members on larger repair jobs, gaining hands-on experience and learning new skills.
Conduct polishing, paintless dent repair (PDR), and alloy wheel refurbishment (an advantage but not essential).
Ensure all work produced is defect-free and meets our quality standards.
Keep your workspace clean, organised, and safe.
You will learn how to prepare/ paint and finish all kinds of repairs to all makes of vehicles
