About the roleWe are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Lecturer in SEND (Construction & Multiskills) to join our team.
You will be teaching students with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities, with a wide range of abilities from Entry Level through to Level 1. Working closely with the Curriculum Manager, you will support the development and expansion of the SEND curriculum, helping us deliver high quality, inclusive education and outstanding learner outcomes.
Using your industry and/or vocational experience, you will inspire learners through practical, hands on teaching, supporting young people and adults from all backgrounds to develop confidence, independence, employability and real life skills.
You will also play an active role in promoting our provision across the SEND and construction/multiskills curriculum areas, taking part in marketing events, open evenings and learner recruitment activities.
Skills and Experience- Proven teaching experience and/or relevant industry experience within construction or multiskills
- Experience of working with learners with SEND (or a strong commitment to developing this practice)
- A minimum of Level 2 literacy and numeracy (GCSE or equivalent)
- A recognised FE teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
You will be an excellent communicator, able to engage and motivate learners with diverse needs, adapting your communication and teaching style as required. You will also demonstrate strong administrative and organisational skills to ensure accurate learner records, progress tracking and compliance with college systems.
